A History lesson for Israeli kids ! Yes Palestine existed before 1948 …

So as many of you know, or don’t know, actually the major part of Israelis don’t know that Palestine existed before Israel was declared as a national state for Jews in 1948, it’s good to know that Zionist gangs terrorized the British administration and military and driven out Arabs from their homes in the 40’s, here some historical documents and maps showing that Palestine existed as at least a territory before Zionists established Israel in the middle of last century:

ME1920-1 001

This is an ethnic map of the middle east, you can see where Israel was to be was then called Palestine, There is no mentioning of Israel on the map, not even Jordan which Israelis still continue to misinform the World as being the land of Palestinians before 1948.

ME1920-2 002

A colored map of the Middle east 1921, shows the borders of the British and French mandate Palestine, Syria and Iraq (there was no Lebanon, Jordan and Kuwait at that time)

ME1920-3 001

This is the first page of the chapter which describes the Geography of Syria and Palestine.

ME1920-4 001

A glimpse on the inhabitants of the region: “…as a paradox the lands which for us Western nations are the homeland of the Jews and birthplace of Christianity, have a very little number of Jews and Christians on, 4 000 000 Syrians we count only 115 000 Jews who have actually been imported recently or from German origins..”

ME1920-5 001

Another Map which shows the name of Palestine as a containing country for actual Israel, Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan.

ME1920-6 001

Tiberiade (Tiberias) in the upper Picture, see the architecture of the town it was a Palestinian town.

ME1920-7 001

First picture on the left, you can see the ancient walls of Jerusalem which are being destroyed by Israel, the Walls have been built by Romans then rebuilt and fortified by Arabs.

ME1920-8 001

If you can read French here is a good document which refers to the land between Egypt and Syria as Palestine, once again.

ME1920-9 001

A document which describes Palestine, the borders, towns and cities, the number of inhabitants the different parts of Palestine.

ME1920-10 001

A very interesting document which describes the holy sites in Jerusalem, didn’t mention any Jewish Temple or such thing.

ME1920-11 001

Professor Ernest Granger from Librairie Hachette London & Paris published in 1922 (ie: before even the state of Israel was declared, before the whole conflict started)

As there is not a lot of information about the Work of Mr Ernest Granger “Nouvelle Geographie Universelle” on the internet I have found copies of the Atlas I own on the Internet, The book was given a long time ago to my mother’s uncle from a friend of his “Jackie”.

Proof of the existance of the book here.

  1. Nice post with the pages from the historical book. But of course they have moved the goal post yet again. That’s what they do when Pals refute their claims with a source. Their narrative at present is “before 1900 Arabs did not use the term Palestine or refered to themselves as a Palestinian.” Only Europeans called it Palestine :-))
    Interesting.
That raised the question: If you asked an Arab pre 1900 where do you live? What would he then say?”
    No answer.
Under Ottoman rule Palestine was self governing. They do not realize that. So if Palestine wasnt called Palestine pre 1900, how did Arabs administratively govern the province of the Ottoman Empire? It must have had a name.
    Silence.
Wish there was a website that documented all possible historic facts and photography of Palestine, also pre 1900s. They know there isnt (until israeli archive opens up their well kept secrets).

    1. Hello thank you for your comment, Palestine was not only self governed under later Ottoman rule, but the Turkish administration even created the first laws protecting all the different holy sites (Christian, Jewish and Muslim) of Jerusalem under a separate entity.
